Snow Day Snow Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well so much for that post from last week about spring starting....
Old man winter has returned to the Granite State this morning.
I was greeted with a phone call at 5:45 informing me that there is no school.
Nothing like a three day weekend.....
So far about 4 or 5 inches has fallen.. It's still coming down...
JON IS THIS ENOUGH INFORMATION OR IS IT TOO FREAKING CRYPTIC????

Tuesday night I bowled for the first time in about 10 years...Stadium Ten Pin in 'the ghetto" area of Manch with fellow work cronies. After a dinner at La Carreta (yes, my second dinner there in 2 weeks, and I ordered the same thing) we headed out for some serious, competitive bowling. Shoes have been improved as they now are all velcro closures instead of laces, which grosses me out less and the scoring is all electronic so keeping score is pretty foolproof...I still can't figure out how I had 4 strikes in one game and only got a 78!!! 3 games and never broke 100. Still, I was on the winning team thanks to the expertise of my fellow team members and we found out that yelling things before one bowls really gets to some people!!!! Andrew has been trying to get me to go bowling for a few years now and I might actually go because I did actually have fun! Once the blister on my thumb heals, I will be ready to go again!

"The Big Day" part 2

I am very excited as it is exactly that type of dress I wanted for a beach wedding...and I got it on ebay for 30 bucks!!! Saves us a lot of money to spend on fun on the island!

Best Breakfast in Manch

Our favorite place to catch breakfast on the weekends and occassionally breakfast or lunch during the week, Jewel and the Beanstalk has some of the best stuff...
our fave is an avacado,lemongrass omlette with cilantro. One of us usually orders it each time. The specials are always great too...and today we got peeps with our check!




They also have boxes of Trivial Pursuit cards on each table...today Andrew hit a record 9 correct geography questions in a row...I am trying to convince him to try out for Jeopardy...then he would have the money to buy that Segway...

Yes they were invented and are still made right here in good ole Manchvegas, NH...
Today Denise told me that I shouldn't have a drivers lisence..
She said I should have my car taken away and that I should get a Segway instead

Spring Finally

Spring is now just a few hours away..
The new season begins sometime at around 1:00 tomorrow morning.
After a long snowy winter it's about time!!!!
We even had some snow today...
We had a couple of weeks where it seemed like there was a snowstorm every day.
It got to the point where Denise asked "When did we move to Alaska!?"

La Carreta

I was jonesing for some mexican food tonite...
Denise and I went to La Carreta in Manch to take care of the hankering.
We had to wait about a half an hour for a table.
But I have to say I ordered the perfect meal and I left satisfied.
The frozen margarita also was a bonus addition...

Top Chef

Tonight is the first episode of Top Chef Season 4 ...looking forward to Tom, Padma and all the guest chef hosts. At least it is something we can watch together since Jericho is almost over and Andrew can't stomach American Idol. On an interesting side note, Padma went to the same college as Andrew, Clark Univerisity in Worcester MA...small world

Richards Bistro (AKA Ralphs)

Tonite Denise and I had dinner at Richards Bistro to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of our first date. We had a great meal. The vanilla ice cream was some of the best ice cream ever. Our waitress was a spaz. She spilled some of our wine and also dropped a chunk of butter on the floor when she was making bananas foster for the people at the next table over from us.
